Named after the tiny island and lighthouse off the coast, Fidra Links is a spectacular golf course. The course is protected by tall Scots pines, a unique feature of Fidra.
The course sweeps and undulates inland, but from the 12th opens out into more traditional links land. With golf dating back to over 500 years at Archerfield, the coastal setting lends itself to a true golf challenge.
A very playable course, Fidra still holds plenty of opportunity to punish the wayward, yet reward the bold. Fidra island is said to be the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, and the course certainly offers plenty of golf treats. This continues off the course, with the welcoming and relaxing Clubhouse, serving up the best golfer’s fare.
